The Compact’s Executive Director, Dr. Tom Hansen, was invited by Argonne National Laboratory to serve as a lead instructor in its Facility Decommissioning course that was delivered September 10 to 13 at NRC’s Chattanooga, TN, training facility. Attendees included NRC staff and regulators from the states of Alabama, Indiana, and Texas. Dr. Hansen provided instruction on nuclear facility characterization and MARSSIM-based final status surveys and offered case studies.
